- Mozilla Bugzilla 重大重組
- : bugzilla.mozilla.org 今天 (2004-11-22) 有了重大改變。不同應用程式間共用的元件，如 Gecko 與 Networking 等，已移到新增的 Core product，原來 Mozilla Suite 1.x 專屬的元件則移到 Seamonkey product。另外，還新增了 Toolkit product 給 Aviary 產品(如 Firefox 等)。未來還可能有其它的改變，不過較重大的已於今天完成。詳情請見 Asa 的 blog。
- .mozconfig 檔將更改
- 為了讓 Mozilla 程式源編譯更方便，Benjamin Smedberg 將會近期對 mozconfig 做更改(bug 261232)。未來，建造 Mozilla 軟體時必須要設兩個 flags。一個是設定應用程式的
ac_add_options –enable-application=foo。可用的選項有suite(Seamonkey)browser(Firefox)mail(Thunderbird)composer(獨立編輯器/NVU)calendar(Sunbird)xulrunnerstandalone(用來建造獨立程式，像 xpcom 與 xpconnect)
另一個給 client.mk 的 flag 定義要登出 (check out) 的程式源，
mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=foo,foo2,foo3，選項同上，不過 standalone 則免。這些改變將使得所有的建造人必須修改 .mozconfig 檔。
另外，
MOZ_INTERNAL_LIBART_LGPL會由mk_add_options MOZ_CO_MODULE=mozilla/other-licenses/libart_lgpl取代，MOZ_MAPINFO則由mk_add_options MOZ_CO_MODULE=mozilla/tools/codesighs所取代。請將你的意見傳到 netscape.public.mozilla.builds 新聞群組討論。[原文]- (2004-11-22)
- 微軟推出 Avalon 預覽
- 微軟於 2004-11-19 釋出 Avalon 的 Community Technical Preview (社群技術預覽)。這預覽只包括一些不完整的程式碼，供開發社群測試並將建議回報給微軟，還不算 beta 或 alpah 測試板。值得注意的是，最初微軟預定要專供 Windows Longhorn 的 Avalon 將會支援 Windows 2000 與 Windows XP。Avalon 是微軟新的，建在 DirectX 之上的繪製引擎，它並且包括了 XAML，一個與 Mozilla XUL 類似的 XML 介面設計語言。微軟網站有提供關於這預覽與 Avalon 平台的細節。

- Linux 上現在從檔案管理員拖曳到 Nvu 內的圖片會嵌入，其它類的檔案則產生超鏈結
